From Waves to Workflows: What Made Team’25 Unforgettable?
The moment when we understood the reason for the location change of Atlassian Team’25 has undoubtedly imprinted on our memories and will stay there forever. It was the end of an eventful Sunday, we had just arrived in California. Sitting on a beach, surrounded by people and sounds of the ocean waves, it was almost as if the upbeat energy in the air was tangible. Somehow, the warm welcome of California made us feel at home, but at the same time it was a breeze of freshness. All of this was reminiscent of the Atlassian Team Event. Because it’s never just another tech conference with dull people - it is a reunion, a spark, something that is worth waiting for. And just like in previous years, Team’25 was not just about product launches - it was about people, purpose and the power of possibility.
Boothtalks & Breakthroughs
From the early morning hours, till late nights - days at Team are definitely busy and fast-paced, but never bland. Time spent at booths gets divided between talks, workshops, integration events and everyone tries to make the best of their time. So, it means the world to us that in the middle of these journeys, we were a valuable stop in your roadmaps. Reconnecting with some of the familiar faces, meeting a ton of new people and raging about ITSM - perhaps these were the best moments for us. Seeing Alex Ortiz, Sajit Nair, Dave Rosenlund, David Berclaz and many more, was meaningful and made us truly happy. We were also glad that Peter Lenke had a minute to drop by our booth, as we wouldn’t be in this place and position without the support from Atlassian Ventures. Each milestone achieved is honestly shared with them.
As we explained our solutions and new ideas that had been brewing for a while, all of our visitors were ready to give us their thoughts, feedback and start whole discussions. And in the middle of these conversations, there was also a time to play the newest Heads up game we had prepared. The energy of these, a bit chaotic, but wholesome, moments easily washes away any fatigue present and works just as well as coffee. And even if it wasn’t enough, Figma provided everyone who visited their station with delicious treats that definitely did their job. It’s at these moments, when you realize that you are a part of a community that shares your passion, excitement and even struggles.
Growing Together as a Community
On top of everything, it is a community that not only discusses, but also grows and celebrates together. From workshops, through Q&A sessions, to keynote talks - the possibilities to learn were endless. The Atlassian Community Workshop gathered people who on a daily basis try to cultivate a sense of belonging in our Ecosystem. Now, they will be called Community Champions, which certainly is a better reflection of their ongoing efforts. The Q&A session with Stephanie Grace, gave us insights and brought us closer to the future of our unique group.
Tools For the Future From the Founders
The future, however, was not just the topic of the Community Workshop, as it seemed to be the main motive of this year’s event. The Founders’ Keynote Talk focused on how the new measures taken by Atlassian will tackle the bottlenecks of work nowadays. The introduced System of Work idea will be guiding the teams of various departments towards their goals and smoothing out the path ahead. As artificial intelligence becomes a part of our everyday lives, from now on Rovo is a new teammate that helps you efficiently move your tasks to the ‘Done’ column. Every team can get a new partner that will take the burden of tedious tasks on their shoulders - it doesn’t matter whether you’re a part of HR, R&D or Customer Service, as the custom agents can be easily created and employed right away in every scenario. To bring even more focus and intention, the Teamwork and Strategy Collection allow teams and leadership to align their actions to goals perfectly. With comprehensive Confluence summaries created by Atlassian Intelligence or quickly updated Jira tasks with Rovo, the worries of miscommunication or losing the track of the main objectives are removed from the team's workload, allowing them to thrive and enhance their productivity to the maximum. While each member focuses on their path, the leadership can ensure that the work gets allocated the best way possible while strategically planning the future with tools from the Strategic Collection. Thanks to eliminating silos between teams and management, it’s the people who can really shine. The same can be said about the relationship between the customers and service teams, as Atlassian introduced a new Customer Service Management app, an AI-powered customer-facing support platform. The Keynote Talk, full of new introductions, gave everyone in the audience an insight into the future of their work and of Atlassian. The buzz of the energy could have been felt even in the last rows, as the cheers grew louder with each announcement.
Moments to Celebrate Together
As it is a community that also celebrates together, Atlassian Team is always our opportunity to feel the joy of the wins with our colleagues during the Partners of the Year and Community Leader Awards. Each of us works toward their own goals and does their best to achieve them, so it is extremely important that all of the efforts get recognized. And that’s what you could have felt at that time - the excitement, relief and overall happiness.
the ecosystem and the positive energy!
Until Next Time
Before we knew it, it was time to pack our bags and get on a plane. As we look back on Atlassian Team’25, it’s clear that this wasn’t just an event - it was a shared experience that reminded us why we do what we do. From meaningful conversations to exciting innovations, from familiar faces to new friendships, it was a celebration of progress, collaboration, and the endless potential of our community. The warmth of California may have set the scene, but it was the people - partners and champions - who truly made it memorable. With new tools in hand, fresh ideas in mind, and renewed energy in our hearts, we left Team’25 inspired and ready to build what’s next - together.
